Just no!!! It’s funny because the author notes at the end of the book that she doesn’t write anything political…but that would be a lie…making statements about white suprematists hating liberals insinuates that conservatives are aligned with racists. It doesn’t matter if I agree with you or not. Bringing anything political into your storyline is not appreciated. Also…and I don’t know how people can make it any clearer…most of us read for escape, period. Especially the way Frazier attempted to tie it up in a neat little bow at the end. Further, the way mental illness was presented and addressed in this book was confusing and didn’t make sense. I didn’t feel a strong romantic development between the characters and the storyline simply didn’t check my boxes. I felt like we got off to an amazing start in book one but I just didn’t enjoy book two as much as I thought I would. but, just because this was a bust for me, you may love it.įirst, let me say that I’ve listened to all this author’s works available on audio (don’t know what else she has released because I’m a busy mom and this is the only way I get through books) and she’s an amazing author. WORTH A CREDIT? Sorry, for me this time it’s a no. However, Teddy and Elizabeth did a great job with the dual POV storyline. There are also mental health and wellbeing issues in this one too. which is a “wow really?” because I’ve loved all her other books. However, I’m sorry but I just didn’t love this story.

I broke my own rule when I listened to Pike (Book 1 of the Pawn Duet) but, in my defence, I didn’t realize it would be nearly six months before this second book’s release.
